800A approval!!

We are so happy to say we received our 800A approval today!! It was dated for February 14th.......the best Valentines present Mike and I received this year!! I have heard and watch other blogs and it looks like we should be traveling sometime during the first week in May!! It will be so awesome to be over there on Mother's Day....but we will have to wait and see! We have many more steps to go but these steps come quickly! I will continue to update each time a step is completed. We are so happy!! We also had our house appraised today and we are hoping and praying that it is appraised for what we need to help with the remaining amount to bring Savannah home.........I know God is in charge and he will take care of this......but as God knows I have a very hard time letting go of things and giving it to him. We are asking everyone to pray along with us as we get closer to bringing Savannah home. Blessing to all!

Angel in our mailbox....

Today an angel visited our mail box. As many know we are so close to bringing Savannah home and like everyone who have been in the adoption world knows many times evil comes in to try to stop it. It is then that evil can come in many forms and with us right now it is in the finances. Well a person I have never met but some who either read this blog or by facebook or through the wonderful world of adoption sent us a very special gift to help us bring her home. It brought tears to my eyes because it reminded me again how God comes to us in many forms and we will forever be thankful for this family. What touched me the most is their son who was adopted at the age of 8 told his parents we have to help this family bring Savannah home. I am just amazed that once again a child is teaching me what it means to love and his parents teaching me how they truly understand the urgency of Savannah's adoption. My hope one day we can meet them in person and their son and Savannah can meet too. We will forever be grateful to this family and my hope is to pay it forward to another family after we get home with Savannah!!

Updating.......finally!!

Well, it has been a long time since I have updated and so I wanted to let everyone know what is going on. We went on the 31st of January to get our finger prints done for immigration. We made it home just as the big storm hit the Midwest. We received Sierra's passport so she is so ready to go to China today!! We have received more information about Savannah. She is so excited about being adopted and she is so ready to come to the United States. If she only knew how excited we are to bring her home!! A few friends have hosted a few fundraisers for us that have been very successful and very helpful to help bring Savannah home. We are planning another fundraiser for April 9th at Keps in Washington. It will include a pool tournament and Karaoke contest with silent auctions and raffles and 50/50. We have a huge mountain to climb to come up with the rest needed to bring Savannah home. We know God is with us and Savannah and we are looking into grants, loans and a variety of areas to come up with the rest of the $16,000 needed. We are nervous but as we have learned God is the one in power. We pray and pray and pray and have faith and hope in Him. Please if you are reading this we would be so blessed for you also to say a pray for us to be directed to the funds needed to bring our precious daughter home!! Blessings!!
